The 23rd Annual Around the World Dinner: A Culinary Expedition, held on May 9, 2024, hosted by the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, was a resounding success. This event brought together a vibrant mix of culinary enthusiasts, chefs, and high school students for an unforgettable evening of gastronomic delight. 

Guests had the unique opportunity to interact with renowned chefs and talented culinary high school students, making the evening both educational and delicious. The event featured an impressive lineup of participating restaurants and chefs, including Chef Allen Susser, Azucar, Rasoi Indian Kitchen, Miami Beach Convention Center & Sodexo Live!, Meat n’ Bone, Areas USA, The Rusty Pelican, Todo Dulce, Sushi Maki, and The Rum Cake Factory. These culinary experts generously donated their time and skills to create an array of delectable bites for the attendees.

Our Platinum Sponsor, Show Technology, Inc., helped ensure the event was flawless with their outstanding A/V team. Beverage sponsors such as Schnebly Redland’s Winery, PepsiCo, Anbieden, and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits ensured that guests had various drinks to complement the exquisite food.

Entertainment was a highlight of the evening, featuring a Bollyjaz performance by IKIGAI USA, live poetry by Ryan Ashley, lively performances from Hialeah Gardens Senior High’s Salsa Club, tantalizing steel drum music from Ultimate Steel Band, and music and saxophone by Jorge Gomez. The diverse entertainment added a dynamic and festive atmosphere to the event.

In addition to the culinary and entertainment experiences, guests participated in a silent auction with exciting items up for bid, including hotel stays at incredible destinations and other unique experiences. The funds raised from this event will support students enrolled in the Academies of Hospitality & Tourism throughout Miami-Dade County Public Schools, ensuring that the next generation of culinary and hospitality professionals receives the education and opportunities they need to succeed.
